Sheila Hall

I have been drawn to the paranormal since my pre-teen years. I loved listening as ghost stories and folklore was shared among family and friends. I was first introduced to EVP work through a family member whose desire was to take advantage of my excellent hearing abilities on a particular recording he had captured. After which, I became hooked on learning and hearing more from the spiritual side. I like keeping up with the latest technology and methods which enables me to capture EVP evidence during our investigations.

The paranormal has interested me for several years now. I enjoy doing EVP work with my mom and I find it the best way to directly communicate with spirits. I like listening to the recordings to see what we have been able to capture. I also enjoy running the video camera.

Electronic Voice Phenomenon:
The recording of anamolous voices and sounds that are not heard in person, but are imprinted onto the recording media and heard during playback.
Classifications of EVPs:
There are several different ways to classify the various recordings.  The American Association of EVP has three distinct classes of EVP.

Class A:  These can be readily heard and is easily identifiable, almost all listeners will hear the same message.

Class B:  These can be understood and most listeners will agree on what is heard.  Usually some amplification and / or filtering is needed to hear these.

Class C:  These are usually not heard until the recording is amplified and filtered for background sound and can be processed further.  Almost no one that listens to these will agree on what is being communicated.

Instrumental Trans-Communication:
The use of various video equipment to gather meaningful information from the spirit world.

This can also be referred to as RTSC or Real TIme Spirit Communication.
Equipment Used:
Some of the equipment used today include the 'Frank's Box', Radio Shack Hack Boxes, the 'Spiricom' for audio.

The recording of white noise, or static on a TV screen to capture images, etc.
