Have you ever seen a creature that you couldn't explain?

Have you ever wondered exactly what is out there that we haven't found yet?

Do you believe that legends and myths originated from a true event that had no explanation at the time?

Join us in the search for the mysterious creatures that roam the night and remote areas of the world...
Legends or Reality?
Yeti, or Abominable Snowman
Almost everyone has at least heard of the Yeti, whether in Sci-Fi films or actual reports of sightings.  This is an elusive creature which mainly lives around Nepal and Tibet.  He is also called Meh-Teh by locals.  Consider this fact, the Mountain Gorilla was just a legend until early in the 20th century.  How many more species of apes do you think are still out there?
Mothman
The Mothman sightings of Point Pleasant, WV have intrigued many investigators in the field.  This case was documneted by the late John Keel.  Not only does this case involve many sightings of a possible cryptid, it has a heavy dose of UFO activity also.

The sightings of this creature and the strange phenomenon associated with it came to a conclusion around the time the Silver Bridge colapsed, killing many people.  Was the Mothman only a creature or a harbinger of death?
The Jersey Devil
The Jersy Devil, or the Leeds Devil has been a mysterious case since before the 1900's.  With several different legends ranging from a devil child of the Leed's family, to hybrid animal, there have been numerous sightings of this creature.

With continuous sightings from around the 1730's, including Napoleon's brother Joseph Bonaparte in 1820, to as recently as 2008 there may very well be something to this legend.
To the right we have the skeletal remains of the late Dr. Grover Krantz, and his Irish wolfhound.  Dr. Krantz worked as an anthroplogist , was a professor of physical anthropology at Washington State University, and he also believed in the possible existence of an ape species that is undocumented and living in North and South America along with many other countries throughout the world.
Cryptids Throughout History
Cryptid Animals No More:
This a coelacanth is considered by many to be the poster child of cryptozoology.  Believed to have been extinct for millions of years, a live specimen was caught in 1938.

This is Architeuthis.  You will know him as a giant squid.  He has been believed to not exist until very recently.  He has also been named Kraken, by the Norsemen.

The Beast of Bray Road

If there were any accounts of an actual werewolf sighting, this would be a major candidate.  Linda Godfrey has done a huge amount of work collecting accounts of encounters and sightings of the creature, or creatures.  The main area that this cryptid has been seen is around Wisconsin and Michigan.  This creature is also referred to as the Michigan Dog Man.  Recently a video referred to as the “Gable Film” has the images of a large primate, bear, or canine shaped animal that allegedly attacks the camera operator.

Characteristics of the beast are a large, bipedal animal.   It is commonly described as having dark or blackish brown fur, and a head shaped like a wolf or large dog.  Weight is approximated around 400 to 700 pounds.  Height is approximately 7 feet.

Chupacabra

The legendary Chupacabra has had a long and mysterious history.  First reported sightings were based in Puerto Rico.  The name actually means ‘goat sucker’ in Spanish.  This is due to the reports of the carcasses of dead animals found in the area that had usually two or three puncture wounds in the neck area and completely drained of blood.  Recently the creature has been reported as being seen in Mexico and Texas.  A dead animal has been found that resembles some of the descriptions of the creature, it may just be a coyote with mange, or other mutated animal.

Characteristics of this creature are a 3 to 4 foot tall reptile like animal with grayish or greenish skin and possibly sharp spines or quills running down its back.  Some reports have the cryptid hopping like a kangaroo, and having a dog or panther like face with a forked tongue and may hiss and leave behind a foul smelling odor.  Other reports claim the animal has glowing red eyes.

The Dover Demon

The Dover Demon was sighted by several witnesses on April 21 and 22 1977.  Loren Coleman, the cryptozoologist, was the first on the scene.  He took information about the sightings and actually gave the creature its name.  The creature is described as possible 3 to 4 feet tall, hairless, with tan or light colored skin, and having an unusually featured face consisting of no nose, ears, or mouth.  The creature was also described as having long arms and legs, with long thin fingers.  One witness even mentions the creature having illuminated green eyes.  Was this a possible unknown animal?  Was it an alien Gray?  Or, was it something else entirely?  We may never know for sure.
